“The thought manifests as word, the word manifests as deed, the deed develops into habit, the habit hardens into character. So watch the thoughts and its ways.” ~Satha Sai

Our Halloween Celebrations were so much fun! We know that this marks the beginning of a very busy season of cele- brations! Let’s all be sure that we are celebrating from the heart and we con- tinue to be loving, giving people throughout the holiday season! We can take this time to teach our children the true meaning of the holidays and how important it is to help those in need. Not only will it teach your child values, but it will fill your heart with joy as well!

This month we will have our awards as- sembly for our Jog-a-Thon on Thursday the 10th of November. The top runner and the top earner from each class will be awarded with a prize for their effort! Thank you to everyone who donated their time and pledges! We really appreciate all of your efforts! We love that we can count on our thoughtful, loving parents to make events like this GREAT!

School is closed on November 11th for Veteran’s Day. This is a great time to teach about being grateful to the men and women who chose the job of protecting our country! Their sacrifices often go unnoticed. We need to help our children to develop respect and admiration for Veteran’s!

We will celebrate Thanksgiving here at school with a feast on November 18th. Each child will be asked to bring a small part of our feast so we can put it together and have a wonderful meal together! The sign-up sheets will be out November 10th.

School is closed for Thanksgiving the 24th and 25th.. We hope that you are able to spend time with your loved ones for this holiday! This is also a great time to teach your children about giving to others! A lot of shelters provide a Thanksgiving meal to the families that stay with them and to those who are homeless or hungry on that day. The children at our school are a bit young to volunteer at these events, but you can bring your child to the shelter to give food donations! Create a family tradition of giving!
