On the New Year’s Day And the whole year through I hope the kindness you’ve given to others return many times to you. ~Happy New Year

The beginning of a new year seems like a great time to send home some reminders:

Attendance:

Your child’s attendance in school is very important! If they are not in school they will not be participating in activities that get them ready for new materials and they will not achieve their goals in a timely manner. This can be very frustrating for a child who is watching other children achieve great things and progressing through the curriculum! Each part of our day is carefully planned and is important to your child’s development! Please make sure your child does not miss out on classroom opportunities by making sure they are here and that they are ON TIME!

Partner with Staff:

Together, we are better! It helps so much if you communicate with us about things that are important to you! We are a team and together we can make the lives of our children/students better! Just remember that we are on your side and we are striving for success and for the success of you and your child! Return forms quickly and make sure they are complete, label all of your child’s belongings, wash your child’s bedding on Fridays and remember to bring it back on Mondays, and bring snack when it is your turn! We will be sure to keep up our end of the bargain to the best of our ability as well, and if there is something else you need from us…please do not hesitate to ask. We all want the same thing…a safe place where the children feel loved and they learn and grow everyday!

Work with your child

Remember that you are your child’s first teacher! We always ask them what they did in school today and what do they say? “Nothing” or ‘I don’t know.” At pick up time in the evening, spend some time with your child in the classroom. Have them show you the work they did that day. It is delightful to take part in the learning and growing that your child participates in every day here at our school! Our teachers work joyously to prepare the environment where your children spend their day! Include yourself in this wonderful environment!

Thank you for sharing your children with us! We truly feel blessed to be able to work with them!
