Our school year has begun! We have our first month under our belts! What a great month it was! Thank you all for coming out for “Back to School Night” and for supporting our book fair! Every class earned every book on their wish lists! We are so happy with the results! Our next big event is our annual Jog-a-thon!
Each year in October we have a Jog-a-Thon to raise class funds! It is always a super fun event at the park! Each child will receive a sponsor sheet and an information letter about the event from their classroom teachers. If you have any questions about the Jog-a-thon, please let us know! We gather at the park at 8:30 on the morning of October 23rd. We have an opening ceremony complete with a Drill Display performed by our Elementary Classes and a special warm-up with our Amazing Athletes coach! We then take our places and run around our track to earn funds for super fun activities in our classroom! Each teacher will let you know their classroom goal and what special items they are working toward! Parents are encouraged to run along with your child! You can even get sponsors! The teachers will be running with their classes as well! There are prizes for the top runners and for the top earners after all of the funds are collected from the pledges! The day of the event we have a pizza lunch and we all get certificates and prize bags for all of our hard work! We would love for you to join us on Friday, October 23rd from 8:30am-12pm!
We will soon install the final tiles to the front of our school! The students and teachers are currently designing and painting the tiles. We will then have them fired and will put them up in the space next to room 3! Be on the look out for this fun art/design project!
