Happy New Year!

We wish you and your family happiness, love and laughter in the coming year!  Our new year has started out with great zeal!  The children were excit- ed to come back to school and they are happily back to work in their classrooms!  They shared their stories of family and fun over the holiday.  Don’t worry; we don’t take every story we hear too seriously!

Thank you all for your generous donations of socks and mittens.  Ms. Wathsala took them to Opera- tion Hope to be distributed to the people there in need!  Teaching the children about service to our com- munity is an incredibly valuable les- son!  If each of us takes a little time to help someone in need it makes the world a better place for all of us!  We hope you took some time for yourself to refuel your own soul over the holiday! It is so easy to forget about our needs when we are filled with the giving spirit!

The New Year brings new ad- ventures to MSO!  You know it is never boring around here!  We are closed on Monday the 18th in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  We will be learning more about him and civil rights in our classrooms this month!  We have a special event on February 3rd.  Literature Comes to Life will come do a play with the children.  Each child will have a costume and will be in the play!  We did this last year and we all had such a great time!  Even the teach- ers got on stage!  We are really looking forward to this!  It will in- clude all of the children from age 2 up.  The younger children will not participate in this one.  Each child should bring $6 to cover the cost of the event.  Please give the $6 to your child’s teacher by January 29th.

Thank you for all of your love and support!
